About Carolyn
Carolyn (she/her) was raised two hours south of Melbourne on the picturesque Mornington Peninsula. After leaving home to attend university, build a career as a NFP professional and travelling extensively overseas, she returned home the beach to raise a family and pursue her passion for writing.

In May 2023, Carolyn's unpublished manuscript, Searching For Grace, was runner-up for the 2023 Maxy Awards, in the Romance and Women's Fiction category. Her short stories have won awards and been published in the media, online and in anthologies. You can read a selection of Carolyn's short stories via her publications page.

Carolyn hosts Write Now, a weekly online writing accountability group that is free and open to writers at any stage, writing any genre. Click on the link or go to the page to find out more. She also hosts The Short Story Society, a bi-monthly short story writing and critiquing group. This group is currently closed to new members.
​When not writing, Carolyn is a television and movie extra, where she has played a variety of roles, including teacher, hospital ward clerk, forensic scientist and a physical therapist. She is also a community volunteer and an avid traveler who loves exploring new environments within Australian and further afield.

Carolyn lives near the beach, nestled amongst farmland, with her music loving husband, neurodiverse son and a dog who's afraid of everything.
Carolyn pays her respects to the traditional custodians on whose land she lives and writes, the Bunurong People of the Kulin Nation. She pays respect to their long history of storytelling and their elders past, present and emerging.
